I'm new to the Sci-Fi & Fantasy community in Norway! What organizations are there? Is Gatekeeper the Norwegian Star Trek organization? Are there others? Are there any Fantasy organizations?

A good question! I'll create a news article about them all, so we can all get to know them.

Is Gatekeeper the Norwegian Star Trek organization?

No! Trekkers Norway is the Norwegian Trekkers organization, and you will get a number of advantages on our web station if you become a member in their organization. All
4Fathers (the main producers of Gatekeeper) are members of Trekkers Norway.

Gatekeeper is a Sci-Fi/Fantasy organization, with a heavy focus on Star Trek. But we have no local branches for you to visit - like Trekkers Norway. Gatekeeper will be an online community, and will also give you the opportunity to star in a Star Trek movie with real Star Trek actors/celebrities.

Are there others?

No! Trekkers Norway and Gatekeeper are the only ones - BUT there are Sci-Fi/Fantasy organizations that include Star Trek in their activities.

Are there any Fantasy organizations?

Yes! I'll include them in the article!

But Gatekeeper is also a scandinavian project and will cooperate (is that the right word?) with star trek and sci fi organisations through out scandinavia. It will also servers as a platform and meeting place for many other organisations and is proud to keep an welcomening atitude to every one. J. ps Hope I didnt get it wrong now thomas... ds

Well put, Commander! ;)

We have however expanded a bit and have become an international project with seven countries involved so far (and more on their way): Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Wales, Italy, and USA.

I have no doubt about that. But it could be a little bit trickier if we start to atract both palestinian and Israels... he he. Not to mention if mr Bin Ladin decides to join... But I cant see why he would thou... :-))) J.

www.trekkers.no is the norwegian Star Trek organization.

As I told him. Eirik! (post 2) :) The truth is both TN and Gatekeeper are Norwegian Trekker organizations though - as both of us involve our selves in different Sci-Fi - with Star Trek as the main theme, but Gatekeeper is involved with web and film only! By becoming a member in TN one can meet other Trekkers IRL as well! :)

Right! Even though Gatekeeper will have groups meeting IRL they will all be specialized and closed. Trekkers Norway however, has the traditional local branches one expect from a traditional organization. The advantages of being part of TN is also so great for those being members in Gatekeeper, that it will actually pay of - even for people outside of Norway to become members in TN.
